A new wine bar offering food has come to Toledo.
In late January, Golden Hind Wine Bar celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to this social media post from Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. Patrons can find Golden Hind in Toledo at 915 N Summit St. Prior to the grand opening, the wine bar started its soft opening phase on October 31, per this post from Golden Hind’s social media account.
Golden Hind’s menu, of course, includes a variety of wine offerings. The restaurant offers some white wines, a selection of red wines, rosé, and dessert wines. If you don’t drink alcohol, the eatery also serves a range of loose leaf teas and soft drinks.
As for food, the wine bar has items like croissants, crumpets, house-made bagels, homemade soft pretzels (which can be served with your choice of spicy brown mustard or honey butter), and charcuterie boards, which come with a selection of meats and cheeses, honey, mustard, and everything bagel chips.
If you’re in the mood for something savory, the menu includes goat cheese and mushroom galettes (hand pies that are filled with creamy goat cheese, spinach, onion, and roasted mushrooms), steak and cheddar pies (cheddar-topped pies filled with beef and mushroom stew), and mushroom and basil quiche, which is made with mixed mushrooms, fresh basil, eggs, cream cheese, and gruyère. The restaurant also offers some sandwiches like a classic egg & cheese sandwich, halloumi & honey sandwich (the halloumi is fried), goat cheese & pepper sandwich, and loaded veggie sandwich. The sandwiches can be served on either a bagel or crumpet.
