As a show of love and encouragement during the Valentine’s Day season, Leading Families Home announces 28 Days of Love Fundraiser.
The initiative will not only raise funds for the shelter’s expenses, but hearts displaying personalized messages will be placed in the shelter’s hallways to encourage participants to keep going strong.
“We’re very excited to promote this fund-raiser,” Stephanie Reighard, executive assistant at Leading Families Home, said in a news release. “Our participants are going through a lot when they enter our shelter, and a kind note from someone who supports them really goes a long way.”
Donations for the hearts range from $25 for one heart up to $500 for 75 hearts, including everyone in the shelter.
“We can’t wait to cover our shelter walls with notes of encouragement during February,” Danielle Edwards, marketing communications manager, said in the release. “Our participants are going to be so thrilled to see so much support from our community.”
