Washington Local Schools board member arrested for DUI

BOWLING GREEN — The newly elected 18-year-old Washington Local Schools board of education member was arrested Friday and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failing to obey a traffic control device.

Brady Hall, of Toledo, was stopped on East Court Street at North Main Street at about 1:50 a.m. when he failed to yield at a left turn to another truck at a yield sign and turned across a crosswalk with pedestrians in it as his traffic signal turned from red to green, police said in a report.

An officer in a patrol car then followed his vehicle and saw it turn into a Taco Bell parking lot, 320 E. Wooster St., where it hit the curb while parking, police said.

As the officer approached the driver, he observed that the driver’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and his speech was slurred, according to the report. The officer also “detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle,” according to the report.

According to police, Mr. Hall later lost balance while getting into the starting position for the walk-and-turn test, stepped off the line, and swayed while balancing.
