PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) – One man is dead following a two car accident on State Route 199 in Perrysburg. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, on June 18, at around 8:15 p.m., Elliott Downard was driving a Toyota Avalon westbound on Dowling Road toward the intersection of SR 199. Downard allegedly failed to stop for the stop sign and was struck by a Ford F-150 truck traveling southeast on SR 199. Following the collision, Downard’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The truck also traveled off the right side of the road and came to rest in a ditch.
