Michigan’s Grocery Landscape Shifts as Discount Giant Opens 110th Location

Discount supermarket chain Aldi is set to open its second store in Monroe this week, continuing its rapid expansion in Michigan.

The ALDI grocery store in Gaithersburg will be the second ALDI in the city and the 110th location in Michigan.

To celebrate, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with ALDI favorites and a gift card through the ALDI Golden Ticket giveaway program. Additionally, all shoppers who visit the store between July 25 and 28 will have the chance to enter a competition to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

ALDI now boasts over 2,400 stores across 38 states, earning the trust of American shoppers. Market research firm BrandSpark International ranked ALDI as the most trusted discount and small-format grocer on the 2023 Most Trusted Grocery Retailers in America list.

Over the past decade, ALDI has successfully opened more than 1,000 stores, expanding its presence and popularity across the United States.
