Monroe, MI – A Hamtramck man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly firing a weapon at a former quarry in Monroe Township. Monroe County deputies responded around 1:30 a.m. to a call reporting gunshots near Hull Road and East Dunbar Road at the Lake Monroe quarry. According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies also received reports of suspicious activity on the property. Upon arrival, deputies Andrew Boski, Blake Merrill, and Austin Graham stopped a gray Toyota Rav4 as it left the scene. Five occupants were inside the vehicle.
