BOWLING GREEN — Justin Nobel will hold a virtual author discussion about his work, Petroleum-238: Big Oil’s Dangerous Secret and the Grassroots Fight to Stop It , on Saturday.
The webinar will be screened at 2 p.m. at the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St.
Petroleum-238 is the science journalist’s seven-year investigation into how the United States oil and gas industry has avoided environmental regulations and created a dangerous and radioactive public health crisis.
Mr. Nobel writes on science and environment for magazines, investigative sites, and literary journals. His 2020 Rolling Stone magazine piece, “America’s Radioactive Secret,” won an award for longform writing with the National Association of Science Writers and inspired Petroleum-238 .
