Honeyboy and his Queen Bee are visiting Blissfield Emmanuel Church this weekend

BLISSFIELD Blissfield Emmanuel Church is going to the bees this weekend.

There will be an opportunity for people to learn new things about honeybees when Bill Bray — otherwise known as Honeyboy — and his Queen Bee, Melanie Davis, provide an informative program at the church starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.

Blissfield Emmanuel Church is at 215 E. Jefferson St., and all are welcome to attend this weekend’s presentation about honeybees, which, according to Mark Crane, lay leader with Blissfield Emmanuel Church, “are a daily part of our lives especially in the summer months.”

Light refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall. To contact Blissfield Emmanuel Church call 517-486-3020 or visit blissfieldemmanuel.com .

Bray began his journey into honeybees and beekeeping more than 25 years ago. Davis joined him about 18 years ago and together they host approximately 20 bee talks a year for schools, garden clubs, libraries, senior centers and whoever else is interested in learning about honeybees, what they do, tools used in beekeeping and the history of beekeeping in the United States.
