For Marcella Dillin, a trip to the movie theater has always inspired a certain amount of magic.
“I had four brothers, and when we were growing up, my mom always brought us downtown on the bus to see a show, whether it was at the Valentine or the Paramount or the Princess. We grew up going to the movies,” Dillin, an usher at the Valentine Theatre, said.
That magic will soon return just in time for Christmas as the Valentine will show the beloved holiday movie It’s a Wonderful Life, later this month .

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington on March 28, 2025, is next up on the Silver Screen slate, followed by the 1986 classic Pretty in Pink on April 11, 2025. Admission is $5.
