Responding to separate welfare checks over the weekend, Toledo police discovered two people dead in their homes.
On Friday at 7:30 p.m. police and fire units found an unresponsive person who was later pronounced dead at a Bennett Road residence, police said. Evidence located near the 44-year-old indicated the death may have been drug related, a police report said.
In the second incident, police and fire units were dispatched to a residence on East Hudson Street after co-workers and friends reported they hadn’t heard from a 59-year-old man since he left work Wednesday saying he didn’t feel well. The man was found dead in his bed.
The identities of both people are being withheld until their families are notified and the deaths are being investigated by the coroner’s office.
