Judge Jack R. Puffenberger has been elected presiding judge of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, effective Jan. 1.
The Common Pleas Court judiciary consists of 15 judges serving in the domestic, juvenile, probate, and general divisions. In addition to his duties as presiding judge of the entire court, he will continue to serve as the administrative judge of the probate division.
Judge Puffenberger currently serves on the executive committees of the Ohio Judicial Conference and the Ohio Association of Probate Judges. He has previously served as a board member of both the American Judges Association and the National College of Probate Judges.
He is also a member of the board of the Lutheran Social Services Foundation and the United Auto Workers Richard Gosser Scholarship Committee and has been a long-time member of the Old Newsboys Scholarship Committee.
