TOLEDO, OH – A popular restaurant chain has opened a new location in the city.
Are you a fan of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to know that the chain has opened a new restaurant in Toledo at 5150 Monroe St. According to the local chamber of commerce’s social media account, the new restaurant celebrated its grand opening on December 17. To celebrate the occasion, the location held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and donated $1,000 to the Northwest Ohio chapter of Alzheimer’s Association.
Raising Cane’s is a restaurant chain that was founded by Todd Graves, according to the restaurant chain’s website. He came up with the restaurant concept for a college class, and his professor actually gave him a bad grade for it because according to the professor, the idea of a chicken-finger-only restaurant was doomed to fail. The banks also agreed with this assessment and refused to give Graves loans.
But eventually, Graves secured a loan, and he was able to open a restaurant that would eventually become a popular chain with over 500 locations, proving that college professor exceedingly wrong.
