The Lucas County Coroner has ruled the death of a man found unresponsive in East Toledo a homicide.
Around 2 a.m. Sunday morning police responded to the 800 block of Oak Street, where they found Sherman Ryan, 42, unresponsive on the side of the road. It was later determined he had been in an altercation in the 2300 block of Caledonia Street, about three miles away.
Mr. Ryan was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, where he died of his injuries Tuesday night. The coroner ruled his death a homicide caused by blunt force injuries.
