Registration for Safety Town in Perrysburg begins Wednesday.
The program is for children who reside in the city and will be entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall. Safety Town teaches basic safety education focusing on pedestrian, bicycle, bus, and recreational safety, the city said in a release.
The program will run June 2-13 at Woodland Elementary, 27979 White Rd. Parents can register their child for either the morning session from 9 to 11 a.m., or the afternoon session from noon to 2 p.m. Each session is limited to 120 children.
Registration and payments are done online through Rec Desk. This is the same online portal that is used for summer recreation programs. Repeat users may log in with the same credentials. New users can create an account.
The fee is $35. All payments are to be made online at the time of registration. If the registration fee creates a hardship, contact Officer Charles Sims at the police station.
