A new children’s book wants kids to know that they all have their very own kind of superpower.
Victor Coleman recently released his new book, The Mentors: Finding Maya’s Voice , which emphasizes resilience, teamwork, and the power of mentorship.
Amazon describes the book as a tale that takes readers on a magical journey through the lives of the Mentor family, a group of extraordinary individuals with unique powers living in the quaint city of Crestview.
The Mentors’ three children Taujjane, Victor, and Va’Shon reveal their special abilities when they decide to help Maya, a new student at school struggling with insecurities. The family discreetly helps Maya navigate a path toward uncovering self-confidence and acceptance while finding her voice.
“The book is inspired by my family. Each of the children are my children,” said Mr. Coleman, 45, of Sylvania. “Because my children are superheroes to me, I wanted the world to see what superheroes really look like.”
The 25 pages are designed to be a short but impactful read, while the eye-catching illustrations make the story visually engaging.
