ADRIAN — The Adrian Police Department saw some turnover of its personnel in 2024 including a “number of retirements,” as described by Police Chief Vince Emrick during the Adrian City Commission ’s Dec. 16 meeting — its final meeting of 2024.
Reinforcements, meanwhile, are on the way when it comes to filling in those six retirement roster spots on the police force.
Three new officers joined the Adrian Police Department ranks and received their official swearing-in at the city’s Dec. 16 meeting inside Adrian City Chambers in downtown Adrian.
Victor Duarte-Peralta, Jadon Kaplan and Zackary Major officially became members of the Adrian police when they were publicly sworn in earlier this month. Each of the officers successfully completed a 16-week academy. Now on board at APD, they will be assigned to a primary training officer and continue with a four- to six-month field training program working as patrol officers.
