Lucas, Sandusky counties among areas with presumed positive bird flu cases

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife has reported suspected cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) – also called bird flu -in wild birds across several counties, including Lucas County. Samples from multiple dead birds have been collected and are currently being tested by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Veterinary Services Laboratory.
