TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Macy’s department stores are set to close dozens of locations and the Toledo location at the Franklin Park Mall is among them.
A statement from a company spokesperson said the closures are part of a strategy to create a “more modern Macy’s, Inc. and strengthen the Macy’s nameplate.”
The company is announcing about 65 store closures at this time, and a spokesperson tells 13 Action News the company plans to close 150 stores through 2026. Macy’s intends to then invest in its 350 remaining locations…
