Electric vehicle charging stations coming to Ottawa and Sandusky Counties

Ottawa and Sandusky Counties are included in a new $14 million grant to create a network of electric vehicle charging stations in Northwest Ohio.

Lucas County Engineer Mike Pniewski put together the winning grant with the Lucas County Transportation Improvement District; it will help to install EV stations on public roads, schools, parks, and in parking areas.

“I’m sure some of them will go into Fremont. I’m sure some of them will go into the city of Port Clinton,” Pniewski said. “I’m sure you will see some in areas close to the turnpike in Fremont. I’m sure you will see some in areas close to U.S. 20. You might see some at the ferry terminals to Put-in-Bay.”…
