Architectural historian to be featured in Third Thursday Lecture Series

MONROE — When he found himself unemployed in 2015, longtime historian and photographer Jeff Morrison went through the pictures he took over the years as an amateur photographer.

As he went through the catalog of photos, Mr. Morrison came across some images he’d taken of sculptures in Detroit and began organizing them.

“I was having a hard time finding work, so to occupy my time, I thought it’d be a good idea to put together a 50- to 100-page booklet about interesting buildings in Detroit and I just found more and more,” he said. “ I ended up with about 330 pages and tons of pictures.”…
