COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — Multiple central Ohio counties declared snow emergencies Sunday as winter continued to bring snow and cold temperatures to the region.
Forecasts call for snow squalls to move through the area before frigid temperatures roll in, sending temps to the coldest in several years.

According to the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness, there are three classifications of snow emergencies.

Level 1 snow emergencies
Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.

Level 2 snow emergencies
