TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Another issue was uncovered for Lucas County property owners, county officials revealed Thursday.
As people continue fighting their new property values, it turns out people were not billed a correct amount for one of the assessed funds. This comes as the Lucas County Auditor’s office investigates whether anymore residents have incorrect values.
Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline said Thursday residents’ tax bill was short an extra $2.10 per $100,000 for the sanitary district’s mosquito spraying, discovered during an investigation into those values. To make it whole for the sanitary district, bills will increase for the second half of the year. Moline said the person who was responsible for the error was fired…
