COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — The medical license of a central Ohio neurosurgeon has been suspended after multiple patients died in his care.
The State Medical Board of Ohio suspended Dr. Jeffrey Hatef Jr.’s medical license Feb. 12. According to a notice sent by the State Medical Board, Hatef performed surgeries that were described as, “excessive and/or unjustified.”
The notice focuses on three patients Hatef treated in 2024. The three patients were in their 70s, and two died after surgery. The State Medical Board writes that one of the patients died the day of their surgery and the other 11 days later.
