COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposed budget promises to simultaneously implement the final installment of Ohio’s new funding formula for traditional public schools while also expanding vouchers for private and religious schools.
But more than half of school districts across Ohio — including most of those in Lucas and Wood counties — would see less basic aid as Mr. DeWine’s budget reduces the so-called “guarantee” that has generally ensured districts do not see decreases year to year.
