Shocking bodycam footage captures chaos as shotgun-wielding Ohio man shoots woman in front of officer

Police in Ohio have released the shocking bodycam footage of an unhinged shotgun-wielding man who allegedly went on a rampage, killing multiple family members.

Kyle Varney, 26, was identified by Lancaster police on Wednesday as the gunman who has been charged with two counts of murder and six counts of felonious assault, each charge with a gun specification. The felonious assault charges are second-degree felonies.

The Tuesday shooting left two men dead, believed to be Varney’s father and grandfather, a woman victim critically wounded, and Varney wounded by a police officer, the Lancaster Gazette reported.

Chief Nicholas Snyder said just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday Lancaster police responded to what was a “behavioral health” call to 911 about an argument inside a home in the 1200 block of North Broad Street. The woman caller, identified as Varney’s grandmother reported that Varney was acting strangely and in need of a mental health evaluation, according to a recording of the 911 call…
