Rescue organizations step in to save 110 animals living in tearful neglect at licensed veterinarian residence

In Clyde, Ohio, Humane World for Animals (formerly known as the Humane Society of the United States) assisted animal control officers from the Sandusky County Animal Cruelty Division with the rescue of 110 animals alleged to have been living in awful conditions at the home of a licensed veterinarian.

Dr. Laura Holt, a veterinarian and founder of Another Chance Animal Sanctuary, faces five animal cruelty charges for fifth degree felonies after having been indicted by a Sandusky County grand jury. Holt was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.
