(WJW) — They say everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day — but what about the other 364 days of the year?
In honor of the annual March 17 celebration, the U.S. Census Bureau painted its map green, showing which U.S. counties have a higher population of folks with Irish ancestry.

Of the 11.8 million Ohio residents, about 12.4% have Irish ancestry, or 1.46 million Ohioans, according to the bureau , which used data from American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates from 2019 to 2023:
