Perrysburg Schools rolling out anti-grooming policy, students’ bill of rights

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – After allegations of inappropriate behavior by a Perrysburg teacher surfaced last year, the Perrysburg Schools Board of Education is now rolling out a series of policy changes aimed at preventing similar situations.

The allegations led to the resignation of long-time Physical Education Teacher John Henline. It also led the Perrysburg High School Principal Aaron Cookson to leave the district after he failed to report the allegations.

“We owe it to the students to make sure we’re doing all that we can,” Perrysburg Schools Superintendent Tom Hosler said. “We took that kinda look in the mirror to say, um, what is it that we can do better? Where can we improve?”…
