Crews begin preps to demolish house where Kei’Mani Latigue was found, volunteers move tribute

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – City of Toledo crews were out at the Miami Street property where a young girl’s body was found to prepare to demolish the house.

A post from Toledo City Council District 3 said Toledo crews were at the property where the body of Kei’Mani Latigue was found to disconnect the water on Tuesday. A city spokesperson said there isn’t an exact date set for demolition just yet, but it will be at least two more weeks before it can come down. Crews still need to shut off the electric and gas.

Crews plan to fence of the property to prepare for demolition on April 8. A city statement said they respect the tributes for Kei’Mani placed on the property and ask residents to relocate them if they want to preserve them.
