Relationships, loyalty have kept Toledo jeweler going strong for nearly 50 years

A junior high student’s dream led to the establishment of a retail jewelry and clothing business that over almost five decades has developed a loving and loyal clientele.

That young man was Toledo native Henry Triplett, who had wanted to own his own jewelry store since he was 13.

He and his wife Joann took a major step toward turning that dream into reality in 1977 when they opened an appliance and giftware shop in the 3300 block of Monroe Street. The store moved and changed its name a few times until 2000, when it settled on its permanent identity — Henry’s Jewelry & Giftware — and moved to its present location in a shopping center on Dorr Street near the Reynolds Corners Branch Library…
