The task force charged with investigating the county’s children services agency after the killing of 13-year-old Keimani Latigue is not open to applications as its appointed leaders begin forming the group.
The task force, announced last week to investigate Lucas County Children Services, aims to correct a loss of public confidence in the agency amid criticism spurred by the killing. The task force’s leaders are in the early stages of determining the scope and makeup of the group, and county officials have maintained that details will be available in the coming weeks.
