Toledo Ties for Ninth at Vanderbilt’s Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Senior CJ van Wyk shot a five-under par 208 and finished in 17th place to lead the Toledo men’s golf team on Saturday at Vanderbilt’s Mason Rudolph Championship. The Rockets tied for ninth place in the team standings in a field that included six of the nation’s Top 50 teams.

Van Wyk tied for first place in par-three scoring at two-under par and registered a team-best 11 birdies. Senior Jamie Butler shot under par in the final rounds and tied for 32nd place at two-over par 215 (76-69-70). He ranked second on the team with nine birdies.
