A man who backed over an 86-year-old woman in a West Toledo parking lot and then fled received a 10-year prison sentence Wednesday from a Lucas County judge.
Antonio D. Lockett, 45, of the 7200 block of Apache Trail in Springfield Township, said in Lucas County Common Pleas Court he was “so deeply sorry” for the Oct. 20 death of Gloria Ann Everett before explaining that he did not realize he had hit her even after he saw her fallen body.
Judge Lindsay Navarre, meanwhile, said Ms. Everett was well known at the courthouse for sitting in the back rows of the galleries and praying for defendants during their sentencings…
