Men plead no contest in 2024 south Toledo shooting that killed 2

TOLEDO, Ohio — One of two suspects in a May 2024 south Toledo shooting that turned into a double homicide has been sentenced to prison, according to court records.

A Lucas County judge sentenced Markas Walker on Monday to 22 to 30 years in prison after pleading no contest to two involuntary manslaughter charges in the shooting that killed Marshawn Robinson, 17, and Teryaun Perrin, 25. Markas Walker also pleaded no contest to two counts of firearm specification.

Markas Walker had previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises. Those charges were dropped by the prosecutor following his no contest plea…
