Man sentenced to prison for deadly 2024 hit-skip in west Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Temperance man who pleaded guilty to charges in a deadly west Toledo hit-skip crash that killed a 30-year-old bicyclist last year was sentenced to prison Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Dean Mandros sentenced Kenneth Pegler, 56, to nine years in prison and up to 12.5 years.
