TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Search warrants obtained by 13 Action News detail questions investigators had surrounding phone calls and interactions with the alleged killer in the Kei’Mani Latigue case.
Darnell Jones, who also goes by Darnell Ogletree, is facing more than a dozen charges in the abduction and death of 13-year-old Kei’Mani Latigue, marking the first Lucas County death penalty case in the last decade. Search warrants show detectives sought information on phone calls involving Jones and his mother, Linda Ogletree.
The warrant said a detective learned on March 23 there was a recording between Jones and his mother related to the investigation. That was the same day authorities first filed an abduction charge against Jones and the day before the young girl’s body was pulled from the vacant house on Miami Street…
