ERIE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police believe alcohol played a role in a Monroe County crash that killed a man from Temperance.
It happened before 3 a.m. Friday, May 9, in Erie Township, about halfway between Monroe and Toledo. According to authorities, Dustin Lomaxx Striggow and Tyler Avery Collins were in a Honda CR-V that was speeding south on Suder Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a curve. The Honda reportedly drove off the road, struck a utility pole, causing it to snap and drop power lines to the ground, before hitting a tree and rolling over.
Collins, 27, was ejected from the vehicle. He died from his injuries…
