Dundee police: Investigation into wrestling team reveals ‘criminal incidents’, parents decline to press charges

DUNDEE, Mich. — The Dundee Police Department said in a Wednesday Facebook post that its investigation into a local school district’s wrestling team revealed “criminal incidents” had occurred in both the local district and at a wrestling tournament in Kalamazoo, Michigan last year.

The police department began investigating the Dundee High School wrestling team after receiving a request from Dundee Community School District administrators. According to police, members of the wrestling team had been accused of criminal hazing and assault, information the district received in an anonymous tip on April 16.

Police said an investigation revealed incidents of hazing or assaults on school buses, in locker rooms and wrestling rooms. Police and the district obtained video evidence of these incidents.
