It was a bittersweet Wednesday for Toledo Police Chief Michael Troendle.
“It’s kind of a conflicted day for me,” Chief Troendle told the audience at the annual police awards ceremony at Imagination Station. “This morning we get to celebrate and this afternoon we get to mourn a little bit and commiserate with our fellow officers and their families but, ultimately, it’s a great day for the police department.”
