Toledo man sentenced for 1997 cold case

A Toledo man will spend 10 to 30 years in prison for the November, 1997, death of a man discovered headless and handless in a Blissfield Township cornfield.

Michael Sepulveda, 51, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in August for the death of an unidentified man, whose body a farmer discovered unclothed in his cornfield. The body was missing its head and both hands. Officers who were dispatched to the scene found markings of a saw at the end of the person’s bones.
