TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo mother and her eight children are recovering after a fire destroyed their home Tuesday night on Elliott Avenue in central Toledo, leaving the family displaced.
Consuela Conley said the fire broke out shortly after she had sent one of her children upstairs to retrieve something.
“He came downstairs and said the house is on fire,” Conley said. “As I ran upstairs, I noticed my house is really on fire.”…
