Seniors find continuing education affordable, nearby

Staff at area colleges and universities believe continued learning may be the key to leading healthier, longer lives.

“Studies have shown that the more education an individual has, the more likely they are to be healthier, see a doctor more often, and they tend to have healthier behaviors and coping skills,” said Jennifer Wagner, associate practitioner professor in gerontology and director of the Optimal Aging Institute at Bowling Green State University. “Lifelong learning is key to a healthier, longer life.”
