Cherry and Summit intersection opens to traffic, but construction isn’t done yet

TOLEDO, Ohio — Commuting through downtown Toledo may be a little bit shorter now, as city of Toledo crews have begun pulling orange barrels and road closed signs from the intersection of Summit Street and Cherry Street.

The city confirmed to WTOL 11 that the widely-used intersection is now open to limited traffic, as crews began installing traffic signals and paving the south side of Summit Street Monday.

The city said there will still be closures to the intersection and shifting traffic patterns has the paving work continues…
