TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – United Way of Greater Toledo is launching an emergency fund to help combat food insecurity across northwest Ohio during the summer and is asking the public for help.
UWGT says due to inflation, rising customer prices and the impacts of federal tariffs, families across northwest Ohio are finding it more difficult to put food on the table. To address this, UWGT is launching “United for Food” to collect monetary donations to support local food assistance efforts this summer.
Organizers say from now through May 31, “United for Food” will be accepting three-month donation commitments to help families in need. Starting June 1, it will be accepting one-time donations to help continue support throughout the summer…
