TOLEDO, Ohio — On Friday morning, Darnell Jones Ogletree is expected back in the courtroom of Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael R. Goulding for a pretrial hearing, and ahead of that hearing, prosecutors have turned over at least 234 pieces of evidence to defense attorneys.
Jones is charged with a slew of murder, kidnapping and rape charges related to the death of Kei’Mani Latigue. He pleaded not guilty to all charges at his arraignment on April 30. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
Kei’Mani went missing on March 18 and her body was discovered in a blighted house on Miami Street in east Toledo property on March 24. According to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office, her death was caused by multiple deep cuts to her neck.
Jones was shot and arrested by police in Columbus on March 25. He was hospitalized in Columbus for about three weeks before being returned to Toledo on April 17…
