PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Anthony Labrador-Sierra, the 24-year-old man accused of posing as a Perrysburg High School student for more than a year, had state charges against him dropped on Wednesday in favor of the federal case that was filed against him last week.
Assistant Wood County Prosecutor Pamela Gross was granted her motion to have the charge of felony forgery dismissed by Judge Aram Ohanian. The forgery charges stemmed from the documents he gave Perrysburg Schools officials, including a birth certificate, with which he claimed to be 16 years old.
In addition to claiming to be a teen, the man also told school officials in November 2023, when he sought to enroll, that he was a homeless immigrant from Venezuela who had been human trafficked, according to a Perrysburg police report dated May 19.
In addition to the now-dropped forgery charge, Labrador-Sierra was charged in U.S. District Court with federal firearms, fraud and immigration charges. Those charges are expected to be referred to a federal grand jury…
