TOLEDO, Ohio — Dozens gathered Wednesday night to honor the life of Norman Allen, a 40-year-old father, brother and mentor who was shot and killed at a Circle K gas station in west Toledo on Tuesday.
Through tears and grief, those closest to Allen called for peace and healing, and for his legacy to be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived.
“You see the love he got all around. Everybody’s here for him,” said Albert Bell, a longtime friend. “He meant a lot to a lot of people. He did a lot for a lot of people.”…
