Bomb squad responds to 2 unexploded ordnance cases

The Toledo Police Department’s bomb squad responded to two separate calls of unexploded military ordnance Thursday.

The first incident happened at Gateway Recycling in Oregon when a manager reported at 11:15 a.m. that a Claymore mine was found in a load of bulk recycling materials. Oregon police requested the bomb squad, and upon examination, it was determined that the ordnance was a practice device, Toledo police said.
