TOLEDO, Ohio — On Holy Saturday, 1980, the Toledo community was rocked by the ritualistic killing of 71-year-old Sister Margaret Ann Paul in the sacristy of Mercy Hospital.

The Sister of Mercy of the Union nun was stabbed between 27 and 32 times in the neck and torso. The stab wound’s pattern was in the shape of an upside-down cross – satanic symbolism.

Ultimately, the crime became even more shocking when it was determined that Father Gerald Robinson committed the crime. Robinson, who was in his early 40s at the time of the murder, was eventually convicted in May 2006…
