Driver re-indicted on charges in double vehicular homicide

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man accused of killing two pedestrians in a Sylvania crash has been re-indicted on charges, according to the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office.

In a press release, the prosecutor’s office said a Lucas County grand jury had reindicted Donald Christian, of Lyons, in the incident. Christian is accused of striking and killing 66-year-old Therese Fern of Swanton and 78-year-old Don Fern who were in the roadway when Christian allegedly struck them with a Jeep Wrangler. The incident occurred nearly a year ago on July 13, 2024.
